we used one wish to change the lives of leukemia patients one note at a time
P.D. WYLIE
Founder
Founded in 2024 through a single Make-A-Wish Foundation wish, Covers to Fight Cancer is dedicated to supporting leukemia patients and their families. Through fundraising concerts, we raise funds to provide financial aid for medical bills, advocate for better patient care, and help cover education expenses for young patients who have fallen behind in school due to treatment and hospitalizations.

WAYS WE MAKE AN IMPACT
EDUCATION TO FIGHT CANCER
Education to Fight Cancer is a groundbreaking initiative in partnership with Montgomery County Community College’s Gateway Program, offering free, accessible college-level education to leukemia patients ages 16–19. This program is designed for young patients whose education has been disrupted by treatment or illness, helping them catch up academically while earning both high school and college credits. By reigniting their academic journey, Education to Fight Cancer empowers students to reclaim their future and pursue their goals with renewed hope.
CONCERTS TO FIGHT CANCER
Fundraising concerts that support our advocacy efforts, help provide financial aid to families for patient medical bills, and assist with education expenses for leukemia patients who have fallen behind in school due to hospitalizations and treatment.
CARE OVER CUTS (LEUKEMIA PATIENT ADVOCACY)
Care Over Cuts is our way of advocating for fellow leukemia patients by raising awareness about the challenges they face in accessing care. Through community events, storytelling, and education, we work to spotlight what's happening in the patient community - and do everything we can to help improve their care and protect their rights.
