We’re kicking off this important month with some major milestones for Covers to Fight Cancer, starting with the success of our very first fundraising concert, Mellow Mania for Medicine Vol. 1 !

This inaugural event brought together an incredible lineup of artists! Mellow Mania, a Utah-based jazz fusion band, alongside Yewbee (who opened the night) and Sunny Day Soap Opera. Through the power of live music and community support, we were able to raise essential funds to help leukemia patients access their medications.

Thanks to the success of this first concert, we’re already planning our next fundraising event which will be event bigger! But that’s not all, after months of discussions, we’ve finally had several of our financial and education aid programs for leukemia patients greenlit! We’re now working closely with our partners to bring these programs to life, and we can’t wait to begin announcing them throughout this month.

As both Blood Cancer Awareness Month and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, September is the perfect time to share these next steps with you. Together, we’re building not only a concert series, but a lasting movement to fight financial toxicity in cancer care.
